<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low alloy steel excellent in corrosion resistance, for use in a hydrochloric-acid-containing sulfuric acid dew point corrosion environment, such as a flue and a stack of waste incineration furnace, heavy oil fired boiler, etc., and a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: This steel has a composition containing, by weight, 0.03-0.15% P, 0.40 4.0% Ni, and 0.10-1.50% Mo. To be concrete, this steel has a composition consisting of, by weight, <=0.15% C, <=0.70% Si, 0.20-1.50% Mn, 0.03-0.15% P, <=0.010% S, 0.010-0.10% Al, <=0.10% Cr, 0.40-4.0% Ni, <=0.40% Cu, 0.10-1.50% Mo, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.</p> |
