PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an engine in a compact size while ensuring a desired reduction gear ratio. SOLUTION: An engine 2 for an outboard engine in which a crank shaft 12b is vertically arranged, is provided with a high pressure fuel pump 37 fixed to an engine body 7, a driving pulley fixed to an upper end of the crank shaft 12b, a driven pulley 44 fixed to a rotary shaft of the high pressure fuel pump 37, and a driving belt 45 stretched between the driving pulley and the driven pulley 44. A flywheel 46 is arranged on a lower part of the driving pulley. |
