PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent image without increasing the space factor of a peripheral circuit by constituting a liquid crystal display so that the timing of turn off of the inverter gate of a pMOS is made earlier than the timing turning off the gate of the inverter of the gate for an nMOS. SOLUTION: A delay circuit 400 is provided in a circuit of the gate for an nMOS transistor. Then, the circuit is constituted so that the timing of turn off of the gate of an inverter 402 of the gate for the pMOS is made easlier than the timing of turn off of the gate of an inverter 401 of the gate for the nMOS. Thus, the timing of turn off a transistor of a pixel switch is made nearly equal in the nMOS transistor and the pMOS transistor by a small circuit called the delay circuit 400 without using a complex circuit for matching the timing of respective gates, and fluctuation of pixel potential is suppressed.
