PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate the quantity of preliminarily emitted light by correcting the error amount of an automatic light control caused by stationary light component at the time of preliminarily emitting the light, without using an integrated photometry output. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a photometry part 21 for measuring the luminance of stationary light in an object field, an exposure calculation part 22 for calculating the stationary light exposure value based on the output of the part 21, a preliminary light emission control part 26 for controlling a flashing part to preliminarily emit the light before exposure, a flashing contribution ratio calculation part 28 for calculating the contribution ratio of the flash light with reference to the sum of the flash light and the stationary light at the preliminary emission time based on the outputs of the part 21, the part 22 and the part 26, a preliminary light emission value correction part 29 for correcting the preliminary light emission value based on the outputs of the part 28 and the part 26, an exposure correction value calculation part 34 for calculating the correction value of the flash light quantity at the main light emission time based on the output of the part 29 and a main light emission control part 27 for controlling the main light emission of the flashing part based on the output of the part 34. |
