摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for complex analysis and structure, for quick and accurate positioning, by positioning a chip component based on a chip component projection width wherein a chip component of symmetrical shape is rotated. SOLUTION: A light-emitting unit 12 comprises a parallel light irradiating part 18 comprising a slit which emits a specified parallel light 17. A photo- detecting unit 13 comprises a slit-like parallel light detecting part 19 which photo-detects the parallel light 17 from the parallel light irradiating part 18. A chip component 11 is placed at a position, within a detection area of the parallel light 17 between the light-emitting unit 12 and the photo-detecting unit 13, where the edge of light agrees with the center line of the absorption noise which absorbs the chip component. Then, rotation is executed with a central position where a plane projection part of the chip component 11 is minimum as a center. Thus, the need for complex analysis and structure is eliminated for quick and accurate positioning.
