DIGITAL IMAGE OF VARIABLE DIMENSION AND METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING FILLING TO EDITING MEDIUM WITH SPECIFICATION OF DIMENSION RATIO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the falling of an editing medium of a prescribed size by calculating 1st maximum magnification that is applied to all line arrangements when it is shown in a portrait format and 2nd maximum magnification when it is shown in a landscape format and editing an image in corresponding arrangement that is the closest to the two maximum magnifications. SOLUTION: Images are arranged in lines 31 to 33 which are horizontally parallel and when a page of an editing medium shows either a portrait format or a landscape format, magnification that is applied to a small dummy image which suits the page is calculated. Next, an edit parameter is selected after selecting format or portrait arrangement to the page of the editing medium that allows maximum expansion and the page of the editing medium is edited. Next, an expansion coefficient that is applied to the distribution of images which are made by a portrait distribution on the editing medium that is arranged in the portrait format is calculated.
