PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide treating liquid for ink jet recording, ink, a recording device and a recording method, which realize a recorded matter having prominent light resistance and water resistance, in ink jet recording. SOLUTION: Treating liquid 12 for ink jet recording, which is constituted of at least monovalent metallic salt and water, is applied on a recording medium 13 while a printed image is formed by recording ink, consisting at least of dye, organic solvent and water while the dye is a compound having an azo group in the structure of the same. Further, the printed image is formed employing recording ink consisting of at least dye, organic solvent and water while the dye is a compound having an azo group in the structure of the same and containing monovalent metallic salt. |
