PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image from being chipped off and to prevent transfer paper from being wasted by transferring the image on the back surface of the transfer paper as it is when the size of the image transferred on the back surface is smaller than that of the transfer paper already transferred on the front surface and transferring the image on a different transfer paper when the size of the image is larger than that of the transfer paper already transferred on the front surface. SOLUTION: A ROM 601 or/and a RAM 602 is provided with a means detecting the size of an image read from transfer paper, a means selecting the transfer paper corresponding to the image based on the detected size of the image and a means comparing the size of the image which is to be transferred on the back surface of the transfer paper with that of the transfer paper. When the size of the image which is to be transferred on the back surface is equal to or smaller than that of the transfer paper already transferred on the front surface, the image is transferred on the back surface as it is by a CPU 600. When the size of the image which is to be transferred on the back surface is larger than that of the transfer paper already transferred on the front surface, the image is transferred on a different transfer paper corresponding to the size of the image which is to be transferred on the back surface. |
