<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method in which production of fog can be enough suppressed and an electrostatic latent image is developed with a magnetic toner. SOLUTION: In this image forming method, an image carrying body 1 having a surface layer having 10<9> to 10<13>Ω.cm surface resistance is electrified, an electrostatic latent image is formed on the electrified image carrying body, a magnetic toner is carried by a developer carrying body 1 to a developing part and brought into contact with the image carrying body in a developing magnetic field in the developing part generated by developing magnetic poles of a magnet 12 disposed inside of the developer carrying body, and the electrostatic latent image is developed. In this method, the magnetic toner contains <=(120-5r) pts.wt. of a magnetic material dispersed in 100 pts.wt. of a resin, wherein r (μm) is the weight average particle size of the toner. Developing bias voltage having only a DC voltage component, or developing bias having an AC voltage component with peaks in such a range that does not exceed the electrification voltage for the image carrying body is applied on the developer carrying body.</p> |
