A method for fixing posters or the same to an illuminated strip (2) of transparent material rolled off a first roll and rolled onto a second roll and vice-versa, whereby the edges of an individual poster extending perpendicularly to the rolling direction are glued to the strip in an elastic manner and the edges of two adjacent interspaced posters are respectively introduced into a pocket formed by two tabs (15,17) of a transparent material guiding element (14) extending perpendicularly to the rolling direction of the strip and which is firmly glued to the strip along a striplike gluing area. In order to avoid a thin streak of light when posters are changed, one poster (10L) slides into a first pocket (19) defined by the strip (2) and a first tab (15) and the other poster (10R) slides into a second pocket (18) located above the first pocket (19) and defined by a first tab (15) and a second tab (17) connected thereto so that the edge areas of the posters (10L,10R) located inside the pocket overlap.
