FIELD: mechanical engineering; transportation of gaseous or liquid media; setting into action of shutoff or pressure relief valves installed on pipelines. SUBSTANCE: device has pneumohydraulic amplifier with oil and gas chambers, operating mechanism including cylinder connected with oil chamber of pneumohydraulic amplifier and high-pressure reservoir. Reservoir is connected with gas chamber of pneumohydraulic amplifier and is charged with air or nitrogen with provision of adequate sealing. Compressed gas is used as power source to provide pressure of oil amplified by amplifier for setting into action operating mechanism and shutoff valve. Device has distributor arranged between operating mechanism cylinder and amplifier, change-over valve, oil reservoir and oil pump. Oil reservoir is connected to distributor through change-over valve. Oil pump connects oil reservoir with amplifier. EFFECT: increased reliability of device. 5 cl, 11 dwg
