<p>A remote control apparatus for guiding toy vehicles (12) on a roadway (10). Preferably a remote control hand unit (120) is employed that is optoelectric. The hand unit (120) includes a plurality of direction keys (124) that transmit signals from the hand unit based on their electronic interconnections with a directional light transmitter (130) in the hand unit (120). The hand unit transmits directional commands to control movement of a toy vehicle (12) through the intersection (82) of a roadway (10). These control commands are directionally transmitted via a modulated signal that is received by a sensor (160) adjacent the roadway.</p> |
