A capacitor provided with a pair of electrodes which face oppositely to each other, have specific surface areas of 960 m2/g, and made of a conductive material and a liquid dielectric substance which fills up the space between the paired electrodes and has electrical conductivity of 1x10-7 Scm-1. The capacitor thus constituted has a large energy density.
