The invention provides a substrate for reception of an electrophotographic image and use as a film positive or negative in a printing process. The substrate of the invention does not display the disadvantage of reduced contrast in the positive or negative which has been caused in the past by areas of the electrophotographic image not being sufficiently solid as a result of mutual-repulsion of toner particles. The substrate of the invention has a coating layer which has in its bulk a toner-coalescing agent which, under the influence of the heat of the fusing step of the electrophotographic process, brings about an improved degree of coalescence of the toner applied. |
