摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely obtain the orientation layer of liquid crystal molecules by rubbing, and to obtain excellent printing property, adhesion property and liquid crystal orientation property by incorporating a polymer selected from among polyamic acids and imidized polymers of polyamic acids, and a specified compd. SOLUTION: This agent contains at one kind of polymer selected from among polyamic acids and imidized polymers of polyamic acids, and a compd. expressed by formula I. In the formula I, A<1> to A<11> are each independently an alkyl group or hydrogen atom. Or, the agent contains at least one kind of polymer selected from among polyamic acids and imidized polymers of opolyamic acids, and a compd. and/or polymer having a structure expressed by formula II. In the formula II, A<12> to A<14> are each independently an alkyl group or hydrogen atom. The polyamic acids to constitute the liquid crystal orienting agent is prepared by the reaction of a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and a diamine compd.
