摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the stress caused in an electrode plate within a battery by charge and discharge of the battery to suppress the cycle deterioration, and improve the durability and reliability by constituting at least one of a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate of two or more divided electrode plates. SOLUTION: An internal electrode body 1 is manufactured by winding a positive electrode plate 2 and a negative electrode plate 3 through a separator 4 so as not to mutually come into contact. In this case, at least one of the positive electrode plate 2 and the negative electrode plate 3 is formed of two or more electrode plates. Namely, at least one of these electrode plates is formed of an electrode plate divided into a plurality of pieces (divided electrode plates) without changing the total length of the electrode plate. The stress by expansion and contraction of the positive and negative electrode plates in charge and discharge of a battery is moderated by dividing the electrode plate, and the cycle characteristic is improved. Further, since the volume and weight energy density of the battery can be improved, and an accident such as internal short circuit can be avoided, excellent safety can be provided.
