<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent torque shocks by preventing sharp increases in the exciting current of an alternator. SOLUTION: Power to be generated from an alternator 1 is determined by the rotating speed of a rotor coil 2 which is driven by an engine and an excitation current in an exciting coil 3. The excitation current in the exciting coil is controlled by controlling the on/off duty of a regulating circuit 6 constituted of a switching transistor. A target generation current Iat of the alternator 1 is determined, based on a target voltage Vreg and an actual voltage Vbat of a battery 5. The on/off duty ratio Fd (Fdf) for realizing the target generation current Iat is set within a range such that the increase in each specified period of time does not exceed an upper limit value K3.</p> |
