PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnostic system for a burning appliance in which a failure is located quickly and repaired easily based on the conditions of failure generated in the burning appliance combustor, of a water heater or the like. SOLUTION: The failure diagnostic system for locating the failure in a burning appliance (water heater 2) comprises a display means (display 114), a selecting means (input switch 104), a memory means (ROM 108, RAM 110), and a control means (CPU 106). Guide information indicative of failure conditions corresponding to the burning appliance to be diagnosed is displayed on the display means (display 114) and a failure part corresponding to failure conditions selected by the selecting mans (input switch 104) is displayed on the display means (display 114). Conditions at the failure part is then displayed on the display means (display 114) through connection with a specified failure part in order to locate the failure quickly thus repairing the failure easily and quickly. |
