<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid mis-depression of keys by storing control data and selected icons in cross reference with operation areas in the learning mode, displaying an icon when the icon corresponds to an operation area in the transmission mode and depressing an operation area when control data corresponds to the operation area to send a remote control signal to a controlled device. SOLUTION: A slide switch 4 is slided to the position of the learning mode. In the case of setting an icon, a 'learning' is depressed on a category display menu to display a learning entry menu. An icon setting button 20 is depressed to set the icon learning mode. An icon to be displayed is selected and an 'OK' button 22 is depressed to register the selected icon. In the case of setting data, a data setting key 23 is depressed and an area to learn control data is depressed to allow a remote controller to be learned to send control data and the data are received. Then the 'OK' key 22 is depressed to register the control data.</p> |
