The pens are constructed from an assembly of several barriers, closure walls (100), access doors and feeds. The barriers are formed from horizontal bars (110) with uprights (120). Each barrier has an assembly of four identical uprights, in the area adjacent to the next barrier. Each pair of connecting uprights is spaced apart, horizontally, a distance 'e', which accommodates a link (400), to allow a longitudinal or perpendicular join with the adjacent barrier.
