PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent equipment from being damaged by eliminating the generation of the resonance of a stator due to torque pulsation. SOLUTION: When executing variable-speed operation by connecting the primary coil winding of a variable speed rotary machine 1 to a power system 7 and supplying an AC excitation current with a sliding frequency being determined by the rotary speed of the variable speed rotary machine 1 and the frequency of the power system to a secondary coil winding side, the natural frequency of the stator is separated from a torque pulsation frequency, which is generated at the stator of the variable-speed rotary machine 1 with the secondary coil winding due to the distortion of the AC excitation current waveform or the rotary speed of the variable-speed rotary machine is changed outside the upper/lower-limit range of the resonance rotary speed band of the stator, thus avoiding the resonance of the stator due to torque pulsation. |
