The invention concerns a device controlling an electromagnetic actuator comprising one or several electromagnet(s) delivering a controlled magnetic induction force on an object in response to a control signal, the object being separated from the electromagnet by an air gap with variable thickness depending on the relative movement between the electromagnet and the object. The control device comprises, connected in a control loop: means (21) generating an excitation current for the electromagnet; means for measuring the time derivative of the magnetic induction force square root; means (24) for varying the excitation current to modify the excitation current according to the force required, based on a signal of the time derivative of the magnetic induction force square root. The means (24) for varying the excitation current comprises an analog circuit whereof the functioning is a mathematical image of the relationship between the magnetic induction force and the excitation current and producing the non-linear electric power variation to the electromagnet required for generating a desired magnetic induction force.
|
