The flow limiting valve has a housing (10) provided with a bore (11) containing a movable valve piston (13,14,16) incorporating a throttle point (15), which cooperates with a valve seat (18) provided by the bore. A seal (16) is provided between the valve piston and the valve seat, retained via a spring biasing the valve piston away from the valve seat, with movement of the valve piston in the direction of the valve seat when a given flow is exceeded.
