PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove bubbles surely while suppressing the generation thereof at the time of filling ink. SOLUTION: The ink jet type recorder comprises an ink jet recording head 6 receiving ink from an ink cartridge 10 through a filter 54 and jetting an ink drop from an ink nozzle according to a print data, a cap member 18 for sealing the nozzle opening of the ink jet recording head 6, and a pump unit 21 for supplying a negative pressure to the cap member 18 through a damper tank 40. Pulsation of negative pressure acting on the channel through the recording head 6 is reduced as much ass possible by the damper tank 40 thus suppressing the generation of bubbles in the filter 54 due to the fluctuation of the liquid level. |
