PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for producing a fertilizer without any malodor by which a rise in cost due to the addition of active carbon is suppressed by investigating the reconversion of vegetable organic wastes such as sludges and other wood chips into resources by conversion into a fertilizer and an apparatus for producing the fertilizer. SOLUTION: This method for converting organic wastes into a fertilizer comprises treating the organic wastes by a step for classifying the organic wastes and converting vegetable residues into active carbon, a step for mixing the active carbon and wood chips with the organic wastes, a step for fermenting and converting the organic wastes after mixing the active carbon therewith into the fertilizer and further by recovering the wood chips after the fermentation for reuse. The apparatus for converting the organic wastes comprises a device 2 for producing the active carbon, a mixing part 1 for mixing the active carbon with the organic wastes, fermenters 9 and 19 for fermenting the organic waste after the mixing and a device 20 for recovering the wood chips. |
