FIELD: fastenings. SUBSTANCE: self-tapping screw includes point on base of threaded rod and wood screw thread in whose turns milling profiles are cut along axial line; these profiles decrease as distance from base increases. Some turns of thread on head end of threaded rod have no milling profiles. Milling profiles are located before base of threaded rod and my be made in form of circular segments, toothed, rectangular or triangular ribs.
