PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to confirm information after being recognized from a mark sheet by providing a display part having a display corresponding to the information recognized from a specific paper sheet. SOLUTION: An image in an image reading position is projected on a CCD 201 and photoelectrically converted by the CCD 201. Image data after the photoelectric conversion by the CCD 201 is read out and inputted to an A/D converter 202, to be converted into digital image data therein. In a shading correcting part 203, an offset adjustment at a black level and a shading correction at a white level including the characteristic of a lamp as well are executed. The image data after the correction is inputted to a mark sheet recognizing circuit 204. Then, a marking place on the mark sheet inserted by the mark sheet recognizing circuit 204 is confirmed and a specified function is displayed on the display part 219. When the specified function is not proper, the contents of the error and recovery processing are displayed on the display part 219. |
