PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sense of operation for an eject bar in a card connector and improve the portability of an apparatus body, such as a notebook type personal computer in which the card connector is used. SOLUTION: A card connector 1 is mounted on a board of an apparatus main body and is equipped with multiple contactors 21, 22 to be fitted to and separated from a mating connector and resin insulators 11, 12 for retaining them. Retaining parts 13a, 15a of eject bars 51, 52 are integrally formed in guide slots 13, 15 of the resin insulators. Shield plates 81, 91 for shutting off the noise radiated from the board to the mating connector are made of an aluminum alloy having a thermal conductivity higher than that of a conventional shield plate made of stainless steel. The shield plate 81, 91 are equipped with ventilating holes 85, 95 for exhausting the heat generated by the mating connector and a blade part 86.
