摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery which can decrease as much as possible a gap of balance in capacity between a positive and a negative electrode, and can reduce a difference of electric potential distribution to provide high power. SOLUTION: A positive electrode plate 1 and a negative electrode plate 2 are provided with wound electrode bodies, which are spirally wound via a separator 3. In the state wherein the positive electrode plate 1 and the negative electrode plate 2 are wound, a plurality of positive electrode current collecting tabs 1d and a plurality of negative electrode current collecting tabs 2d are arranged to face opposite to each other via the separator 3. In an area of unapplied part 1c where a positive electrode active material has not been applied, the positive electrode current collecting tabs 1d are fixed to a positive electrode current collector 1a. The ratio W of the width of the positive electrode active material unapplied part 1c to that of the negative electrode tab 2d is 1.2-3.5.
