CENTRALIZED CONTROL FOR PLURAL DEVICES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centralized control system for plural devices to perform centralized control and cordless remote control of devices by a GUI(graphical user interface) function. SOLUTION: This system comprises a device controller 2, which serves as a host system to selectively actuate an optional AV device connected to an AV device group 3, a host computer 4 and a portable information communication unit 1 which performs the communication with a host computer 4 and give an operating command to an optional AV device. The unit 1 is provided with a display 13 and a touch panel input device 12 in a single unit and automatically switches the setting operations according to the current position of the unit 1 between a remote control mode where a GUI remote control screen is shown on a display 13 to command the device operations and an information processing mode where an independent operation screen is shown on the display 13 for the information processing.
