SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD AND SIGNAL REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the signal processing method and signal reproducing device by which noise in time base direction is reduced almost without increase in the number of memory circuits. SOLUTION: In the signal processing method for decoding data that are coded by employing three kinds of coding systems as in-frame coding (I), forward inter-frame predictive coding (P) and bidirectional inter-frame predictive coding (B), filtering in the time base direction using information of a preceding/ succeeding I or P frame is applied only to B frames and the result is outputted. Thus, noise reduction in the time base direction is attained almost without increasing the number of memory circuits.
