PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid useless opening of electronic cash registers and to improve the efficiency of store operation, by preserving the sales amount by time zones, the number of customers and points of each electronic cash register and setting an estimated sales amount, input time of product data and money receiving and paying time, thereby calculating the schedule number of open stands for every time zone. SOLUTION: When each electronic cash register 10A to 10N uses a scanner 17 and inputs a product code, a controlling part uses product information (product name, unit price, etc.), which are acquired by retrieving a product file and stores sales information (sales amount, the number of customers and points) in a sales file (RAM) 13. When a host machine (product sales data processor) 30 receives the sales information, it stores them in a RAM 33. A CPU 31 sets an estimated sales amount per day, input time that is required for data input of one product and money receiving and paying time which is required for money receiving and paying per customer and calculates the schedule number of open stands for every time zone of each register 10A to 10N by using these data. |
