PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perfectly remove a processing solution from the surface of a printing plate and prevent the processing solution from penetrating in a cylinder space part recessedly provided on a cylinder. SOLUTION: In this processing method, by rotating a squeezing roller 376 and a first plate cylinder 11 or a second plate cylinder 12 in opposite directions relative to each other under the condition that the squeezing roller 376 abuts against a printing plate held on the first plate cylinder 11 or on the second plate cylinder 12, a developing solution applied onto the printing plate is removed. When a cylinder gap part 413 recessionarily provided on the first plate cylinder 11 or on the second plate cylinder 12 is moved to a near position to the squeezing roller 376, the direction of rotation of the squeezing roller 376 is reversed. As a result, the developing solution consisting of a bank formed on the upperstream side of an abutting part between the printing plate and the squeezing roller 376 moves temporarily onto the surface of the squeezing roller 376. After that, the squeezing roller 376 is separated from the surface of the printing plate. |
