<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing an Sn plating layer by which the separation of an Sn-contg. oxide is enhanced to improve an Sn removal rate at the time of removing the Sn-base plating from scrap steel where an Sn-base plating is applied as the Sn-contg. oxide. SOLUTION: An Sn-base plating layer is heated, oxidized, mechanically stripped and removed from scrap steel having the Sn-base plating layer. In this method, the scrap steel is heated and oxidized by using a rotary kiln-type preheating furnace 2, plural powder separating holes are formed in the furnace wall of the scrap steel outlet side after stripping the plating layer in the preheating furnace, while the preheating furnace is inclined, the powdery stripped material contg. the Sn oxides is discharged from the holes and the scrap steel is recovered.</p> |
