<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an articulator for denture rebasing in removing excessive resin by reforming an existing articulator. SOLUTION: This articulator 10 has a V-shaped base board 1 with a support rod 1a standing at each top of the V, a V-shaped position determining board 2 with the same angle as that of the V-shaped base board above the sides of the V, and a triangular-framed top board 3 to be attached at the support rods 1a. The top board 3 is set on the position determining board 2 with the position of a denture 20, which is attached to a model, being determined, gypsum is poured on the surface of the model from the opening of the top board 3, and the model is fixed to the top board 3. Then the top board 3 in this condition is detached from the support rods 1a, the impression material of the denture 20 is peeled off, and resin is poured into the part where the impression material is peeled off. After that, the top board 3 to which the gypsum mold is fixed is attached to the base board 1 again, and the articulator 10 is turned upside-down after the resin is hardened. As the base board 1 and the position determining board 2 are both V-shaped, the inside of dentition of the denture 20 can be clearly seen through the openings 1c and 2c of the boards 1 and 2. Since a dental tool 60 can be inserted into the openings, the denture rebasing can be smoothly done.</p> |
