PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce felt for a high temp. filter dust collection which enables a continuous operation for a long term of three years even if the temp. at the entrance of a dust collector has a peak temp. up to 210 deg.C, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In a sheet-shaped laminated body which has web layers on both sides of a base fabric is formed by interlacing the base fabric and the web layers, the base fabric consists of a polyphenylene sulfide and/or a polytetrafluoroethylene, the web layers consists of a polyphenylene sulfide fiber, and the laminated body has a dry heat shrinkage rate at 210 deg.C of 1.5% or less and strength retention (210 deg.C×2100 hour) of 80% or more. Moreover, a low shrinkage web obtained by heat setting a card web consisting of a polyphenylene sulfide fiber at 160-230 deg.C and winding it up under no tension after cooling, is deposited on the both sides of the base fabric.
