PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable use of a cushioning material in any case of the space between walls corresponding to one face of an article to be packaged and one face of a packaging container, the spaces between the ridge lines and the internal corners corresponding thereto, and the ridge line parts, by forming folded grooves opened at the upper part of the upper wall and extended to the axial direction, at the full length to be bendable at the grooves. SOLUTION: When this cushioning material 1 for package is interposed between one face of an article P to be packaged and one face of a packaging container C or disposed at one face of the article P to fix it by binding, it is used without folding the material. In the time, as the lower part of the folded groove 2 and the upper part of the unfolded groove 5 contact each other, it can bear a large load. When the cushioning material is interposed between the ridge part of the article P and the internal corner corresponding to the ridge line of the packaging corner C, or disposed at the ridge line parts of the article P to fix it by binding, it is folded at the folding groove 2 to bring the article into contact with the right and left walls. And hence it is used in a stable condition, that is, a condition that the cushioning material 1 forms a nearly L-shaped cross section. |
