PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plastic/ceramic composite material which can be easily and economically formed into any shape and can freely control each of the characteristics while having a function near that of a functional ceramic by using a ceramic having one function selected from dielectric properties, piezoelectric properties, magnetic properties, conductivity and thermal conductivity for the composite material so as to give a specified content of particles of this ceramic. SOLUTION: The ceramic particles may comprise two or more ceramics having different characteristic values and a same function. The particles have a mean diameter of 0.1-50μm with an aspect ratio of at most 2.0, and the content thereof is 50-99 vol.%. The plastic used preferably comprises a thermoplastic resin from the viewpoint of injection moldability, although it may be either a thermosetting resin or a thermoplastic resin. Examples of the ceramic having one function include a dielectric ceramic (e.g. titanium oxide), a piezoelectric ceramic (e.g. barium titanate), a magnetic ceramic (e.g. Mn-Zn ferrite), a conductive ceramic (e.g. ZrB2 ) and a thermally conductive ceramic (e.g. beryllia).
