PURPOSE:To easily obtain the title material without inhibiting its hydraulic nature by heat treatment and crystallization of a noncrystalline calcium aluminate. CONSTITUTION:A noncrystalline calcium aluminate is heat-treated at 800-950 deg.C or so. For this calcium aluminate, CaO and Al2O3 are the two main components and it is preferable that peaks be not recognized in its X-ray diffractometry. It may be heat-treated directly; however, normally, the heat treatment is pref. made after grinding. Thereby, the objective hydraulic material consists mainly of crystalline 12CaO.7Al2O3 with a lattice constant of <=11.978Angstrom . Use of the present material will attain a specified working time without needing any setting regulator and also facilitate the regulation of setting time. |
