Soundproofed air duct used with internal combustion engine

A soundproofed venting duct (20,30,30a) for the cladding enclosure (1) for an internal combustion engine has its walls covered with an elastic damping material with irregular shaping to improve the damping effect through irregular reflections. The ducts are spaced around the cladding to vent the positive air pressure produced by the blower. The ducts are fitted with shaped flanges to guide the air flow into the ducts. The ducts can be extended by internal ribs to form triangular or polygonal cross-section ducts, with the inside walls covered with sound damping. The size and shape of the ducts is selected to minimize the air flow resistance.
