The running mechanism (1) has a support frame (2) on which the lifting gear (32) is located. Additionally, a stabiliser is provided which stabilises the suspended vehicle (5) against horizontal displacement relatively to the support frame (2). The running mechanism has two suspensions (7) with wheels rolling on both sides of the single rail (6).
