The invention concerns an aircraft seat base (18) comprising mainly a single-piece structure (20) in composite material. An energy-absorbing element, such as an aluminium alloy ring (42), is inserted in a recess (40) formed in the structure (20) central part (30). The single-piece structure (20) further comprises three branches (32, 34, 36) radiating from the central part (30) towards bottom front(22), bottom rear (24) and top rear (28) anchoring zones. A fourth branch (38) connects the bottom front (22) and the top front (26) anchoring zones. The invention enables a reduction in volume and in cost while ensuring energy absorption as required in case of accident.
