Window (9), fitted with fixed peripheral seal, has its edge (7) modified locally, e.g. by a buckling (11) of about 1 mm or by attaching a plastic or enamel projection of similar thickness to reduce noise radiation caused by acoustic field. Surrounding seal is similarly modified, and movement of the glass in the seal is diminished. Window glass has at least one edge distortion or increase in thickness, and the seal has at least one clip or hook in contact with the glass. |
