PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send data regardless of an opposite side terminal supporting a radio data transmission protocol or not by identifying whether or not the opposite terminal is contained in a radio communication network and setting automatically whether or not radio data transmission protocol conversion is to be processed. SOLUTION: When an incoming call number is addressed to a PHS terminal the telephone number of which begins with '050' in a dial request from a data terminal 1103, it is discriminated that the dial signal is addressed to a radio data terminal. In this case, data converted by a PPP asynchronous/synchronous conversion section 1208 are fed to a radio data transmission protocol processing section 1209, where the format of the data is converted into a frame format of PIAFS, and velocity is converted by an I.460 conversion section 1207 and the result is sent from a B-channel of an ISDN. When the called number begins with other than '050', it is discriminated that the terminal does not support the radio data transmission protocol and the PPP asynchronous/synchronous conversion section 1208 immediately sends data to the B-channel of the ISDN. |
