PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve initial properties by mixing hydrogen storage alloy powder with metallic powder as conductive agent, coating and filling paste to be obtained by immersing, stirring, the mixed powder in acid solution, washing in water and drying it to a conductive core, and drying it. SOLUTION: Hydrogen storage alloay powder is provided with a CaCu5 -type crystal structure, indicated by a composition formula of MmNii Coy M2 (Mm is mixture of rare earth elements, M is Al and/or Mn, 3.0<=x<=5.2, 0<=y<=1.2, 0<=z<=1.0), and has the mean grain diameter is 30 μm or less. Ni, Cu and Co powder can be given as metallic powder as conductive agent, and the mean grain diameter is 10 μm or less. The suitable mixing ratio of metallic powder in relation to hydrogen storage alloy powder is in the range of 5.5 to 10.5 wt.%. Hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid can be given as acid solution to be used for immersion of both mixed powder, and the suitable pH is in the range of 0.7 to 2.0. |
