PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a user by enabling more detailed conversion by giving allowance to a user's way of inputting an address to some extent and reducing its errors, by inhibiting a replacing process by a replacement converting means as to a specific part of the address at the time of the zip code conversion of the address. SOLUTION: When an address is converted into a zip code, the notation of the number part of the address is formally a KANJI(Chinese character) number, but even an Arbic numeral can be converted into a correct zip code. For example, the Arbic numerals of the lower column of A are replaced with the KANJI numerals shown in the upper column of A and retrieval from a zip code dictionary is performed (A). In this process, the address shown in the lower column of B is replaced with the upper column, but the address input is incorrect, so trouble is caused with the inputted address. For the purpose, the part of the administrative district name is replaced to show an error in address input to the user. |
