The transmission has signal sources (1-1,1-2) situated in the rails (R1,2) on the floor (P) of the vehicle. The sources extend all along the rails and cooperate with receivers (14) fixed to the seat (S) which automatically plug into the sources when the seat is positioned correctly and which are connected to the security equipment (PT).
