PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detector of the position of a movable body in which the holding power of a clutch mechanism by a protective plate is not reduced, the clutching power of the clutch mechanism is stably secured, and position detecting performance does not become worse. SOLUTION: In a position detector 30, a protective plate 200 covering a planetary gear set and a clutch mechanism and holding them in a cover plate 36 is fixed to the cover plate 36 by a spring back claw 80, and a protrusion 82 capable of preventing the protective plate 200 from coming off from the cover plate 36 is provided on a base plate 34. In other, words, as the protective plate 200 is fixed by a double fastening structure, the holding power of the clutch mechanism by the protective plate 200 is not reduced, and it is possible to maintain clutching power stably and to exercise the original function of detecting positions reliably at all times. |
