<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of shore section of a submarine cable, which can effectively prevent cooling and corrosion of cable and assures easier inspection work through effective operation of heat pipe. SOLUTION: In the structure of the shore section of the submarine cable, where a power cable 3 is laid to the land portion from the submarine portion via a conduit 1 buried under the ground of the shore section and the power cable 3 is guided to a man-hole 2 for connecting such conduit 1, a shield 5 for water-sealing is provided between the conduit 1 and manhole 2, one end portion of heat pipe 4 arranged along the power cable 3 in the conduit 1 is provided through the shield 5 by keeping watertight characteristic and a cooling section for absorbing the heat from the heat pipe 4 is provided at the one end of the heat pipe 4.</p> |
