A push-button actuated system for an ATV transmission such as those used on a Honda 300 where a DC motor is connected to a cable linkage, which in turn is connected to the gear change pedal now used to upshift and downshift gears of a semi-automatic transmission. The cable linkage is arranged so that a clockwise rotation of the DC motor causes a cable to pull upwardly on the gear change pedal. A counterclockwise rotation of the DC motor causes the cable linkage to pull downwardly on the pedal. Variations do away with the pedal and cause rotation of the operative transmission shaft in the same manner as the pedal. The system is simple, reliable and rugged. |
